THE DOLOMITES

Declared by the UNESCO world natural heritage for their singularity and beauty, the Dolomites are situated largely in the north of Italy, just one hour from Venice, in the Belluno area.
The Dolomites, besides the special beauty of their mountains, offer a various biodiversity, probably unique of its kind.

They are still unknown to the general public: Everybody knows Cortina, the Zoldano, the Agordino and the tre cime di Lavaredo (Lavaredo peaks), the wonderful ski slopes that wound up a breathtaking panorama, the high routes of Dolomites, but only a few know the richness of the flora and fauna, the several and old traditions of the different valleys, the local food and products, and the history of this region.
